Project Description
Saskatchewan Power Corporation, the principal electric utility for the province of Saskatchewan, Canada, faced several pain points related to its SAP database, including uncontrolled growth and legal risks. After publishing an RFP, Auritas was chosen to implement a data management solution for SaskPower. The action plan included assessment, workshops, archiving, retention management, and knowledge transfer.
Auritas implemented the top 20 objects in SAP ECC and CRM, resulting in a 40% reduction in the database, ongoing growth control, and legal and regulatory compliance. The solution also included the deployment of OpenText for data volume management storage. As a result, SaskPower achieved cost savings, extended the life of its infrastructure, and was ready for retention management and risk avoidance.
