Founded in the 1800’s, this domestic energy delivery company is a leader in the utility industry and includes electric transmission and distribution, natural gas distribution and energy services operations. The company serves more than five million metered customers primarily in six U.S. states. With more than 8,500 employees, this utility company and its predecessor companies have been in business for more than 140 years.
Over the years, the company had accumulated large amounts of data that were infrequently system performance issues, increased operational costs, and it impeded reporting and planning processes. To address these matters, the company needed to remove its divested data without disturbing live information.
