Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced SAP MDG Technical Consultant with a strong background in designing, developing, and implementing SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions. The ideal candidate should have deep technical expertise in MDG frameworks, workflow configuration, and ABAP development, along with hands-on experience in multiple end-to-end implementation projects.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical design and implementation of SAP MDG workflows for Business Partner (BP) and Profit Center domains.
- Develop and configure sequential and parallel workflows, including single-step and multi-step change request processes.
- Work closely with functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions within the MDG framework.
- Design and implement custom Consolidation and Mass Processing templates, incorporating custom field attributes as per business needs.
- Demonstrate strong understanding and hands-on experience across core MDG frameworks, including:
- Central Governance
- Consolidation and Mass Processing
- Data Quality Management (DQM)
- Implement and manage DQM rules, including rule derivation, validation, and performance optimization.
- Develop and enhance ABAP-based customizations such as BRF+ rules, BAdIs, enhancements, user exits, and validations.
- Participate in data model extensions, UI modeling, and custom object development within MDG.
- Collaborate with integration teams to ensure smooth communication between MDG and other SAP/non-SAP systems.
- Troubleshoot workflow and data-related issues, ensuring system stability and data consistency.
- Provide technical guidance and support during all phases of the project — design, build, test, deployment, and post-go-live support.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP MDG technical development.
- At least 3 full-cycle MDG implementation projects completed successfully.
- Strong expertise in MDG Workflow configuration (sequential, parallel, single-step, and multi-step workflows).
- Proven experience developing custom Consolidation and Mass Processing templates.
- Deep understanding of MDG Central Governance, Consolidation, and DQM frameworks.
- Hands-on experience in defining and maintaining DQM rules (derivation and validation).
- Proficient in ABAP programming, including BRF+, BADIs, user exits, and enhancements.
- Experience with BP and Profit Center workflows in MDG.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
