Job Summary:
The AURTIAS SAP/ABAP DEVELOPER is fundamental position involved in all phases of the Application Lifecycle, from design to delivery. Posses and demonstrates leadership skills and delivery experience in software development. Has the ability to mentor others in maintainable development practices and code reviews. Ensures correct capitalization / expense activities of the project team and can provide business insight across multiple domains.
The developer will demonstrate an ability to manage complex, high-quantity and often contradictory information to effectively solve problems, applies knowledge of the business to advance organizational goals, and comfortably navigates complex policy, people and process-related organizational dynamics.
Role Responsibilities:
- Developing ABAP solutions as per the design document requirements (workflow and PI for interfaces)
- ABAP Webdynpro Model generation (RFC, Web Services), Internal/External Context Mapping, Eventing, Navigation, Adaptive RFC, Custom Comps, Interfaces, Usage, Net Weaver Development Interface (NWDI Tracks, SCs, DCs) and optionally Floor Plan Manager (FPM)
- Support project development needs, within work streams of Matters Management and Finance, relative to Professional Services Implementation of SAP S4/HANA.
- Participate with customer business and functional team in design workshops / requirements gathering.
- Work with functional and other teams to understand business requirements and translate into technical specifications and solutions in accordance with client standards and architecture.
- Understand user and process requirements and ensure those requirements can be achieved through high quality deliverables within the SAP landscape.
- Analyze existing programs or formulate logic for new systems, perform coding, and test/debug programs.
- They may be expected to create specialized reports for SAP modules using ABAP programming languages, designs forms and screens for SAP modules using tools such as SAPscript, SmartForms and understanding multi-system interfaces.
- A developer also prepares comprehensive and thorough technical program documentation including but not limited to specifications, test conditions, test plans, and test data.
- Knowledge and understanding of SAP Fiori and S/4 HANA is an added advantage.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s Degree or a related field is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in computer science, technical expertise, or other IT discipline
- SAPUI5, Business Technology Platform, either BAS or WebIDE
- ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of Object-Oriented ABAP
- Advanced performance tuning for CDS views and ABAP
- CDS view development including AMDP table functions and virtual elements
- Develop SEGW and CDS view based OData services
- SAP Business Workflow development, including knowledge of workflow exits
- Advanced knowledge of database programming concepts
- Strong knowledge of Agile Methodologies
- Advanced knowledge of best practices and standards for software development
- Ability to learn and customize out of the box applications to fit business needs
