Scrum Master/JIRA Administrator
Scrum Master manages product and software development teams as servant leaders. They ensure that teams follow Agile Practices and scrum framework values, work to increase team efficiency, and provide motivation and guidance for process improvement. Ensuring that development teams follow scrum framework values and agile practices, mentoring and motivating the teams to improve processes, facilitating meetings and decision-making processes, and eliminating team impediments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Work with teams to facilitate/participate in all Scrum and cross-functional meetings to provide accurate and relevant information.
- Ensure that Agile project governance is followed and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with the Product Owner to prioritize and manage the product backlog. Ensure all stories are ready to be groomed, including technical documents, functional documents, wireframes, and stakeholder signoff.
- Manage the JIRA environment, including setting up new projects, workflows, and issue types. Maintain and manage projects, boards, workflows, dashboards, and permissions on JIRA.
- Create reports and dashboards in JIRA to provide visibility into team progress and project status.
- Train and support team members in the use of JIRA and Agile methodologies.
- Manage project-related activities in JIRA that meet Agile Project governance, including tracking assignments and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Work with Product Managers to create roadmaps, prioritize work, and make decisions on high-value features and enhancements.
- Work with internal teams/stakeholders to prioritize work that extends across multiple service and application teams and track interdependencies.
- Act independently in both surfacing and facilitating issue resolution for multiple products. Follow up with the team to ensure no blockers are forgotten.
- Manage the implementation of SAAS products into customer landscapes, working with both development and professional services to ensure a seamless customer experience. Ensure all implementations follow the defined standard for customer delivery and create a plan for delivery success.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- At least 2+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master in a Jira software development environment.
- Strong understanding of agile principles and practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean methodologies.
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to manage conflict and facilitate collaboration within a team.
- Solid knowledge of Jira and its related tools, including Jira Agile, Jira Service Desk, and Confluence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and remove impediments to team progress.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION/LICENSES
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of work or management experience.
- JIRA ADMIN certification/ working experience is desired.
- Agile Certifications (CSM, SAFe or similar certifications).
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM)Certification, SAFe Certification, or any other Scaled Agile Certifications.
- Good to have-Atlassian JIRA Administrator Certification.
