Maui Jim is an American sunglasses manufacturer. Founded in 1980, the company designs, develops and manufactures a wide variety of sunglasses. As of 2015, it was the third-largest producer of sunglasses in the world.
Maui Jim faced challenges with uncontrolled ECC database growth and compliance with global retention policies and GDPR regulations, impacting their efficiency. Partnering with Auritas, they implemented a comprehensive data archiving strategy, reducing database size and improving performance. Auritas introduced a robust retention policy and automated archiving to control growth and ensure compliance.
Implementing Document Access (Extended ECM) further enhanced database performance. These measures streamlined data management, ensured regulatory compliance, and prepared Maui Jim for a smooth migration to S/4HANA.
